Since the beginning of this century, the effects of animal diseases on human health, social development, and environmental safety have become increasingly prominent. Recent outbreaks of animal diseases such as African swine fever, viral diarrhea in animals, and vector-borne zoonoses have posed serious challenges to the livestock industry while also increasing the risk of cross-species transmission. The “One Health” concept of harmonious coexistence among “humans, animals, and the environment” is receiving increased attention, and strengthening research and control of animal diseases is crucial.
The 3rd Animal Disease and One Health Forum, which is jointly organized by Huazhong Agricultural University and South China Agricultural University and hosted by the editorial office of Animal Diseases and the College of Veterinary Medicine of Huazhong Agricultural University, will be held in Wuhan from November 5 to 7, 2026.
Following the “One Health” concept, the forum focuses on three core themes: pathogen-host interactions and infection mechanisms, epidemiology and etiology, antimicrobial resistance, new drug development and vaccine innovation. The meeting will involve multiple sessions, including keynote presentations, plenary lectures, Young Scientist Forum and poster presentations.
This meeting also launched the “RENOFARM Youth Poster Challenge”. This competition open to university students worldwide.
The symposium aims to provide a unique platform for sharing and highlighting the latest research, technological progress and ideas that will significantly contribute to animal welfare and human health. We sincerely invite you to participate in the symposium and look forward to sharing the latest research results and practical experiences in the fields of animal disease and health.
