Animal Diseases (ISSN 2731-0442, CN 42-1946/S), a newly established and free open access international peer-reviewed journal, focuses on animal disease and was sponsored by Huazhong Agricultural University and launched by Springer Nature in 2021. We are committed to publishing high-quality, innovative and prospective works on animal diseases and Zoonoses research/application, which are closely related to human health. Aim and scope:

Animal Diseases focuses on the latest research and technological advances in animal diseases that are closely related to human health and explore challenges and countermeasures that environmental changes pose to animals and humans. It provides rapid publication of the most innovative and quality papers that address the etiology and pathogenesis of infectious (viral, bacterial and parasitic) and noninfectious (genetic disorders, tumors, metabolic diseases, etc.) diseases linked to animals, as well as the progress toward their prevention and treatments, including but not limited to, epidemiology, etiology, pathology, immunology, pathogenesis, diagnosis, prevention and treatments.

Original research articles will be published in the following headings:
